How to Use Text Scanner (Step-By-Step)

Text Scanner lets you convert images into editable text — directly in your browser, without uploading anything to a server.
This guide will walk you through each step of using Text Scanner to get clean, accurate OCR results.

Step 1 — Select Language

Select one or more languages ​​present in the image you want to scan.

Step 2 — Select or Drop an Image

You can add an image in two ways:

  • Click the Select Image button
  • Drag and drop a file onto the scanning area
Your image stays in your browser memory only. It is never uploaded to a server.

Step 3 (optional) — Image Preprocessing

To improve OCR accuracy, Text Scanner automatically converts image to grayscale.
To achieve even greater precision, you can use some image adjustment tools:

  • Binarization
  • Denoise
  • Blur
  • Colour Inversion

Step 4 — Run Text Recognition (OCR)

Click Continue or wait for the app to start recognition automatically (depending on your UI setup).
Once OCR finishes, you’ll see extracted text displayed in a text box.

Step 5 — Get Results

Get your scan results in a format that's convenient for you:

  • Text - All text recognized in the image
  • Image - Text anchored to a specific area on an image
  • Json - Raw recognition result with all technical details
